In Memory of...
On September 9, 2012 our world changed. Our beloved son, Trent Huber, was killed in a vehicle accident. Many months of questioning God, why us, why our son? Many tears, sleepless nights, prayers, and an empty heart. Without our faith in God and the support of our family and friends, life seemed hopeless. Every day I would pray...."God, please give me peace for the moment, some happiness again, what road should we travel, please help us find it".
One night as I was up late after a memorial event, my childhood friend, Angie Ruckle, previous owner of the Wedding Shop, messaged me to let me know that she was selling the business. She knew that I had a love for weddings, special events, and parties. I thought, is this a sign from God? I immediately thought of my sister Lynn, who would be retiring from BJC Healthcare. We both agreed we needed a change in our lives. This was the answer to our prayers.
Trent always had a smile, liked helping others, Inand brought happiness to everyone he met. So in his honor we felt this was the road that God had paved for us. What better place to find some happiness than a wedding shop, beautiful brides, family and friends sharing the excitement, and helping to make others dreams come true.
Without the love, support, and the help of our husbands, family, and friends we would not have been able to accomplish the elegant atmosphere we so desired to share with our community.
